As Staff Accountant, your duties will include preparing monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. This position will require a fair amount of time dedicated to producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. And during the monthly close, your responsibilities will also cover various aspects of internal reporting. In addition, you will take part in compliance, communicate with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes.Major responsibilities- Ready complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll- Create monthly statement analysis to be used for management reportings- Maintain fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation- Carry out month end close, journal entries, without supervision- Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments- Take part the in implementation and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP- Participate in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation- Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner- Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules- Ad-hoc tasks and special projects, as needed
